About us

Where Aya Wellness began

My journey didn't start in a boardroom — it started in the everyday moments of caring for others.

After leaving school, I worked as a nanny before training as a Learning Disabilities Nurse in 1996. Over the years, I worked across a wide range of environments, and in the early 2000s — and again in 2010 — I trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), deepening my understanding of how we think, feel, and grow.

In time, I moved into education, qualifying as an assessor in Health and Social Care, and in 2025 I completed a Level 5 Apprenticeship in Coaching. Each step shaped how I see people — their resilience, their transitions, their need to feel truly supported.

And then there was my own personal journey to motherhood. That experience, layered with everything I'd learned and lived, became the seed of something new.

Aya Wellness was born from all of it.

What Aya Wellness stands for

Aya is a name that carries meaning across cultures — and for us, it represents growth, nurturing, and the quiet strength found in life's most profound transitions.

We believe that pregnancy, postpartum, adoption, and early parenthood deserve more than to-do lists and generic advice. They deserve to be witnessed, honoured, and supported with intention.

Every card, every journal, every word we create is designed to help you pause, reflect, and feel less alone in the moments that matter most.

Who Aya Wellness is for

Aya Wellness is for the mother navigating the overwhelm of a newborn at 3am. For the adoptive parent finding their footing in a new kind of love. For the partner who wants to show up but doesn't always know how. For anyone in the beautiful, messy, transformative season of growing a family.

If that's you — you're in the right place.

A note from the founder

Thank you for being here. Building Aya Wellness has been one of the most meaningful things I've ever done — and every person who finds their way to us makes it worthwhile.

With warmth,
Glenda
