Aya began with Curiosity

My path to motherhood hasn't followed a traditional route. I was adopted as a young baby, and I grew up deeply loved—held by parents, who showed me, in quiet and everyday ways, what it means to belong.

That upbringing shaped me in ways I'm still coming to understand. It nurtured in me a quiet curiosity about connection, about how we care for one another, and about what it means to show up with presence and intention in our lives.

As life unfolded, I came to understand that motherhood doesn't always look the way we expect it to.
My path hasn't led me to carrying a child of my own, but I have experienced motherhood in other, meaningful and shaping ways—through becoming a step mum, a god mum, and even a devoted four-legged one. Each of these roles has shaped me, stretched me, and deepened my understanding of care, connection, and love.

Because of this, I've come to believe that motherhood isn't defined by one path—it's defined by love, presence, and the intention we bring to our relationships.
