A Small Question

It came through something quite ordinary, a piece of school work—an autobiography. There was nothing unusual about it, just the kind of task where you’re asked to write about your life, your beginning, the things that make up who you are.
And then I realised there was something I didn’t know. Not a big question, not one that felt heavy at the time, just a small one.
“What time was I born?”
I remember asking it simply, as if the answer would be just another detail to fill in the page. I was told it was in the early hours of the morning, and I held onto that quietly, letting it settle as something certain.
It felt like enough.
Sometimes it starts with a question that doesn’t yet feel like one. 🌿
